On July 12th, it was learned from Southwest Oil & Gas Field Company that Well JQXX was successfully drilled to the total depth. Through the implementation of geology-engineering integration, this well achieved a 100% reservoir encounter rate. It completed the build-up section and horizontal section in a single rotary steerable drilling run lasting 6.93 days, with a total footage of 1,483 meters in this single run, setting multiple block records in the Jinhua 51 well area.
Well JQXX is a development well deployed by Southwest Oil & Gas Field Company in the central-western Sichuan transition zone of the Sichuan Basin, targeting the Member 1, Sandbody 1 of the S Formation. Southwest Oil & Gas Field Company deepened the integration of geological and engineering analysis, management, and implementation to ensure high-quality, stable, and rapid drilling of the well.
In terms of integrated analysis, based on regional geological characteristics, the company clarified the sandbody sedimentation, lithology, and reservoir characteristics, identified geological sweet spots, and used software for real-time simulation and analysis in combination with the geological and construction characteristics of different well sections to optimize the template bit and construction parameters.
In terms of integrated management, special personnel were assigned to manage on-site multi-professional processes, improve the management system for morning meetings and complex situation analysis, and carry out joint inspections and supervision to ensure the implementation of measures.
In terms of integrated implementation, through a 24-hour all-weather, multi-professional tracking and collaboration mechanism, geological data were collected timely and accurately, and engineering response measures were effective, ensuring the optimal well trajectory design, with no complex situations or downtime throughout the well.
The successful implementation of Well JQXX has deepened the understanding of regional geology, improved the level of geology-engineering integration implementation, and improved the high-yield well cultivation model in the tight gas field of Member 1 of the S Formation.
